AMC Yonge & Dundas 24, inside 10 Dundas St E

Located inside 10 Dundas East, this movie theatre features state of the art, all digital facilities and 24 screens showing your favourite movies.

Carlton Cinemas, 20 Carlton St

After a $1.5-million renovation, the Carlton Cinema will reopen on July 2 under the Magic Lantern banner, an Edmonton-based cinema chain. All screenings will be free a few days prior to the formal opening. The new Magic Lantern, located at 20 Carlton Street, will continue to show alternative films and will offer Tuesday film discounts.

Canon Theatre, 244 Victoria Street

The Canon, formerly known as the Pantages Theatre, opened in 1920 as a combination vaudeville and motion picture theatre. At the time, its 3,373 seats made it the largest cinema in Canada and the most lavish. Today it is host to many Broadway productions.

Elgin & Winter Garden Theatre Centre, 189 Yonge Street

Built in 1913, this theatre is adorned with royal boxes and exquisite gilded plaster details. It is a national historic site, and the last operating “double-decker” theatre in the world.

Take a walk down memory lane as you stroll through the entrance corridor covered in pictures and playbills dating as far back as 1894.
