Halloween Tour of the Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre
October 29th at 6:30pm and 8:30pm. Spooky Halloween fun awaits you on a special tour of this National Historic Site. In addition to the theatre's history, you'll hear about "ghosts and spirits" that are said to inhabit the building. And who knows, maybe some of them may even appear! William Lyon Mackenzie and his Rebellion still resonate in Canadian history, 170 years later. Wtih Richard Fiennes-Clinton, visit some downtown locations implicated in the Rebellion, from the St. Lawrence Market to the Mackenzie homestead. Then, gather in Mackenzie's cozy family room, gain insight into his motives and emotions when storyteller Jeffrey Canton personifies Mackenzie as The True Patriot.
