ABOUT PEOPLE PRESENCE
Volunteers are being added to Holy Trinity's tradition of hospitality. People Presence volunteers welcome all comers to the church Monday - Friday, 11 am - 3 pm weekly, including tourists, spiritual seekers, and homelesss and street-involved people. We are looking for volunteers are available for one or two days a week, OR one or two days every two weeks, OR a few days a month.
In addition to the main duty of welcoming all who enter our doors, volunteers will:
-Give information to visitors about the history and architecture of the building, the parish and its activities
-Provide assistance accessing services, filling out forms, and placing local telephone calls as requested
-Provide light refreshments as donations permit
-Provide friendly listening to visitors
-Support the Toronto Homeless Memorial, 2nd Tuesday of the month
-Provide a safe welcoming environment for refuge from the weather

-Volunteers must be kind, compassionate, and friendly. Experience with homeless and street-involved people is an asset.
-Volunteers in this position must be over the age of 18, and must complete a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
-Volunteers must attend all training sessions as required.
